Mitt Romney was a Republican in Mass. He served them well. Perhaps they will remember this and not mind crossing over to vote for the republican in this one.
But how much does it matter? Even though the two parties are pretty much the same, this does matter. It matters a lot!
The politicians-gone-wild needs to be stopped. or is it Democrats-gone-wild?
Whatever happened to statesmen?
Editor's Note: repeating with emphasis: they hate mitt. they feel like he messed them over with his health-care "reform."

Lets not forget all the dirty tricks the democrats pulled to get Franken elected. Stuffed ballot boxes, Bought and paid-for judges. I expect to see all of this and more if Brown wins. I find it interesting that none of the state law enforcement unions endorsed the AG, kind of telling as to what they think of her.

Can't wait for the polls to close and for the vote counting to begin.
Will we see if Americans is waking up or are we just a bunch of zombies? If the Bay State stays Democrat, we are doomed.
# 5. 1/19/10 12:29 AM by R - Rochester,NY
It will be very hard for him to overcome the on the ground organization of the Democrats.
They will have unions out giving people rides to the polls and making sure all the homeless people get their counted votes at least once.

My bad. I originally used America, changed it to Americans. Which means I should have changed is to are. Sorry. (Can you put a grammar check on with your spell check?)

Some people say "don't count your chickens before they hatch".....
But reality says "Obama's chickens are coming home to roost"!
# 8. 1/19/10 12:51 AM
If Brown wins, will we ever know it? I expect this to be as crooked as election as we've ever known.
Too much is at stake to have Acorn, and whatever else it takes to manipulate a Democrat 'victory'.
I so hope Brown wins, but won't be surprised if lots of dead people show up to vote and thousands of others vote early and often.

"Martha Coakley"
Did you mean Maria Coakley?
Editor's Note: nope. nor did i mean marcia coakley.

Interesting and nauseating at the same time, Salt Lake Tribune headline: "Utah blacks think Obama just needs more time"... More time to create more insanity? More time to screw with every common sense thinking individual? More time to visit "late-night"? What would really make me happy is to see Michelle wearing a FUBO shirt. Maybe when she's mad.....?
# 11. 1/19/10 4:39 AM by Pete
This is not just a gut check for Obama it is also a wake up call for America.
I don't vote Rep. or Dem., I vote for what is right for the people.
All this Mass. special election is to this soulless so-called president and all the liberals is about their agenda. It is all about keeping their power so they can rule and do what they want with the American populous and taxpayer.
What is the difference between what Iran did in their illicit elections and this ploy?
What?
We did not beat anybody to a pulp? We did not round up the opposition or come across with ballots that really do not exist? All of this above did not happen because we consider ourselves civilized people and we do not go that far!
If you steal a penny or a dollar, if you steal a dollar or 100 dollars, it is still stealing!
Regardless of what form it takes Obama and the liberals are only interested in the power grab, keeping their Marxist, socialist hold over Our Country.
They could give sh#! about the People.
This is just so vivid and understandable even a 5 year old can see it!
Obama is the most creepiest, slippery, unconscionable soul that I have ever had the displeasure to even look at! Fact is I turn the channel on both TV and radio when ever this creep is pictured or speaks.
He turns my stomach.
Wake up you gullible people!

This election is about Health Care Reform and nothing but Health Care Reform. So goes this election, so goes the mid-terms in Nov. Nuff said, let"s talk about boobs. (+)(+)

The spin-meisters were already working on how to cover Barack's butt yesterday, Coakley ran an inept campaign, she is out of touch, etc.
She is out of touch, I will buy that, so are Obama, Pelosi, Reid and many republican congress fat cats as well.
A huge part of this miracle (the loss of Teddys seat for over 40 years to a conservative) if it happens, or even if it almost happens is the voice of the people waking the politicians from their 'we can do anything we want trance'.
Incumbents, or long time politicos who don't listen to, or show respect for, we the people, should take note and grab their ankles, the power of the people is coming home to roost.
This special election is my kind of revolution, go guns, no one getting killed, but the bad guys running for the hills. God I hope Scott wins, but even if he does not, a message has been sent and if Washington ignores it we must send it again and again in the 2010 and 2012 elections!
# 15. 1/19/10 6:22 AM by Blue State Bill - Rochester, NY
I refuse to believe all the stories circulating on this election. It's nothing more than Fox News beating the drums, trying their best to engineer a defeat for Democrats. No - after Martha is seated, then this nation can continue to move forward, doing what should have been done years ago. And once we have national health care, then we can continue to work to bring this nation out of eight years of regression.
# 16. 1/19/10 6:42 AM by Rick C. - Rochester,NY 14610
I am betting on everything remaining the same in Mass.
# 17. 1/19/10 6:51 AM by Ditto to Pete #11
And let"s not forget Michelle is one downright FUGLY speciman of the female gender. She got hit so hard with the ugly stick it knocked her past homely. Can you say "face transplant"?
# 18. 1/19/10 6:52 AM by Rick C. - Rochester,NY 14610
Perhaps Limbaugh or Caribou Barbie should have gone to Mass. to campaign for The Republicant. That surely would have sealed the election for The Democrat!
# 19. 1/19/10 6:59 AM by Rick G. - Spencerport NY
I spent the first 40 years of my life blissfully ignoring politics. The machinations of how things worked were – and are – as foreign to me as Gaelic football. I started to pay attention for purely selfish reasons: I was annoyed at watching a huge percentage of my wages go towards taxes and not seeing a commensurate benefit to me, all while the rules of trying to make a living became complex and convoluted. It didn’t seem to matter which party was in office. Oh sure, I bray about how Republicans are better but deep down I only say that because of some ancient philosophy that sounds more like me than the Democrat one. Truth is – they’re both full of crap.
Too much time is spent playing political chess and not enough time is spent trying to make things better. It’s he said/she said in power suits, and I keep waiting for somebody to yell “JENGA!” before the whole thing just falls apart under the weight of its own stubbornness and unyielding sense of self-importance.

The bottom line is this.
Haiti is in turmoil, yet we have given them billions in the past, our jobless rate is in the toilet, small business and the taxpayer are going to pay dearly for this evil health care bill, China owns us, the taxpayer is in the red for trillions and getting worse, Afghanistan, Yemen, are requiting Terrorists,
NEED I GO ON?
Yet, this creep Obama has the time to berate Conservatives and politic in Mass. for his Demoncratic cronies, right after his wonderful vacation in Hawaii where he was surfing and playing golf.
Are you liberals really that deranged?
What the hell is wrong with you?
Are you genetically flawed?

I hear the turnpikes heading north from NYC to Mass. are already jammed with Acornites (Acornists?) intending to vote!

No - after Martha is seated, then this nation can continue to move forward,
On the Road to Serfdom the proper direction is backwards.
Not all of us prefer to be infantilized and have every aspect of our life monitored by the the Quisling in Chief who's better suited to be Chairman of the Lifetime Network.
I'm sure busses full of ACORN "employees" -- six hours before they typically get out of bed -- are already on the scene spending my "stimulus" money.
Gonna be interesting to see how they pull this out.

# 22. 1/19/10 7:31 AM by alexander - upstate ny usa "and Ted Kennedy is watching this unfold from hell." "Editor's Note: i hope not"
I don't believe in "HELL" BUT I happen to believe in the Rich man and Lazarus.
Luke 16:24-26, "And he (the rich man) cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented."And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence."
Ted Kennedy got away with the death of that woman. This "GULF" spoken of where the rich man resides is not Hell but he is tormented because he is separated from God.
For now.............
Editor's Note: "i am tormented in this flame." sounds like hell to me.

"The bull is in the China cabinet", "like the communists they.....seem to be", "the country can grab its ankles" - no more room for cliches this morning, Floyd. Lonsberry has already stunk the place up. But if this is the "first chance to comment on Obama's government" what has the past year full of drivel, hot air, and overblown rhetoric by LonsBeckBaugh been? But Bob you are thinking about the Old Mitt, not the new and improved "New Mitt"
And just like New Coke, you will love New Mitt, I hear those in marketing will show how New Mitt is everything Old Mitt wasn't
And Besides Utahs version of Acorn will flood the ballot box again and give him 90% in the primary :(
Editor's Note: i have marvelled at how mitt could spend his entire adult life a liberal and then convert to conservative just in time to run for president.

We were coming home last night from a long road trip. Couldn't yet get local radio stations, but for some reason, (probably the ionosphere), were able to get Boston radio. Heard lots of news clips in which the leftists, including BHO, made fun of Scott's intellect. The ads for Coakley were many, sometimes a minute apart. All were attack type, geared to alarm women voters. During the several hours we listened, we heard one (1) Scott ad, in which he stated his core beliefs. The Dems are spending a lot of money on this election. Acorn must be working overtime. I hope America prevails.
Editor's Note: coincidentally, i listened to wbz last night myself. great radio station, though they all talk funny.

# 33. 1/19/10 8:26 AM by Poplar Beach
Just on NBC "Coakley ran a terrible campaign"; not reported that way on ABC!
The hope and change President is just another typical politician, a very liberal one at that, who will make any deal, pay any bribe, to get his agenda advanced and he has a major TV network in his pocket.
What a message it will send if Scott Brown wins, I am hopeful that this is just the beginning of real change.
Scott Brown Wins, Power to the people, screw business as usual in Washington, would be my headline!
Now I can go watch Jack kick some butt!

Any president who thumbs his nose at half of this nation should get NO respect or support from either side. America is one, not two. We either stand united or we fall. The divide between us is growing to catastrophic proportions. With a smirk and a nose in the air Obama leads the way.
Regardless of who wins, to force this unaffordable health bill that is the cause of the current Massachusetts ruckus, as well as rejected by the American majority, is insane and beyond comprehension by anyone who loves this country.
Obama isn't a leader, nor is he my president. No real president pushes his people aside and calls them terrorists. He is a disgrace.
# 38. 1/19/10 8:58 AM
You Republicans are going to be surprized. Your poll ratings are below the Democrats.
Brown will probably win, but he's winning as an "outsider" to the "incumbents" of Washington. Brown deliberately told the Washington Republicans to "stay away" from his campaign lest he be contaminated by the low approval of the Republican party. Brown wisely saw that it was Massachusetts independents who were the key to his victory and if the Washington Republicans showed up in Massachusetts to campaign for him it could easily scare indies over to Coakley.
As for your analysis Bob, that kind of over the top spin makes you as distrustful as the slimeiest of politicians. It's too bad you degrade yourself so completely over ideology. Truly, if your ideology requires such degradation of self it is an evil ideology.
Very sad to see you fall apart every time your ideology demands huckster speak. Where has it gotten you Republicans?
Last but not least, a 59 seat Democrat Senate with a solid 55 is considered fantastic. Bush never had even that. And how much did Bush ram through on reconciliation? Everything and anything he wanted to.
Time for Dems to take off the kid gloves.

2nd bite at the apple.
I have guilt. Big guilt.
I normally come down on the side of liberals and have no problem referring to conservatives as cancervatives, the cancer on America.
BUT, the delicious irony of Scott Brown winning, of all peoples former seat, Teddy Kennedy's, and possibly destroying Teddy's life long dream of universal healthcare passing, is just too sweet and sour a meal for me to pass up.
It is absolute joy for Republicans and absolute horror for Democrats and when the needle registers those absolutes it can only be fun.

Yep....Barack Obama and Mitt Romney are the Dana Walshes of their respective parties. Obama and Mitt may think they look good enough to fool the newbies, but those of us who have been through a few seasons know better!!!
I never, ever liked Mitt. At least Barack is so wildly liberal, he is forcing the Republicans to man up and define themselves. Hopefully.

Mitt walked away from the 2002 UtAH olympics making a bundle. To some here he's a crook but one who nobody complained about and just kind of tolerated and looked only at his best side. Maybe some republicans are realizing feelings of powerlessness yet many democrats feel that as well as most if not all presidents are puppets to be told eventually what to do.
